hi im an 20 year old girl who really have a problem about itchiness. 2 years ago my umbilical area began to itch and it started also at the hypogastric region of my abdomen...i started scratching it to reallly d pain...although i applied no topical treatment..it covered a greater area...the redness is almost 2 inches diameter.....later, i found out that buttons n such metal caused the itchiness...then, i cannot stop scratching it and now its almost 8 inches diameter...it tried applying anti inflammatory but then when it gets better it really starts to itch in an intensty 10....so i start to scratch again well u may say i lack elf discipline/...
now i realy want to treat this skin problem...although, the area is kinda watery..im always using petroluem jelly to dry it up n apply anti inflammatory..but then it seems i really have a problem with my brain..im very sensitive and always feel that a certain area is itchy and so i scratch it but then there was no reason that area would be itchy,,especially in my face, arms, abdomen, back and knees...
i believe i do really need some help...please do blog ur opinions n comments

i have eczema myself over a large area of my body but i never had on my stomach, although my sister seems to have had a very similar problem as you have. she is allergic to the nickel on the buttons of her pants when she wears jeans and stuff. she found some serious relief in getting a moisturizing cream to clear up the skin and then she would paint clear nail polish on the button that touches the skin and she would no longer have the symptoms. she would have to paint the nail polish on every week or so because it would wear off just from wearing the pants and washing them. hopefully this could help you too!
